Explore the creative natural rhythms of breath, beat and yoga poses with the uniting force of dub. Unwind tension, build strength and flexibility in a Hatha flow class that blends flowing asanas and poses held for strength and transformation. Uplift your spirit and move towards a greater sense of internal alignment and freedom in your own unique form with an extra hour of dance in Ashkenaz’s unique, all-wood interior. All bodies and levels of yoga experience are welcome. Elise will safely guide all participants and offer modifications for any injuries, disabilities, or other special needs. Dub Mission Yoga honors the root meaning of yoga, which is union. Please bring your own mat and towel.
Elise Marie Collins is one of America's top yoga and embodied mindfulness teachers, and the author of “Super Ager: You Can Look Younger, Have More Energy, a Better Memory, and Live a Long and Healthy Life”; “Chakra Tonics, Essential Elixirs for Mind, Body and Spirit”; and “An A-Z Guide to Healing Foods, A Shoppers Companion.” A visionary yoga teacher as well as an inspirational content creator, Elise uses the tools of Ayurveda and scientific research to uplift and help people all over the world move out of darkness and into light. She has touched thousands through her yoga instruction and publications.
DJ Sep is the founder and main resident at Dub Mission, one of the longest-running reggae parties in the world (since 1996). Voted Bay Area's Best Reggae Club five times in six years, Dub Mission has featured artists from around the world. Sep has spun in London, Vancouver, Tijuana, and many cities throughout the United States. She has opened for Sly & Robbie, Lee “Scratch” Perry, The Wailers, Kruder & Dorfmeister, Culture, Big Youth, Quantic, Les Nubians, Rachid Taha, Kinky, and many others.
