Join devotional music duo Jaya Lakshmi and Ananda with the Saraswati Dream Band on their Spring 2017 Tour for a sacred music experience that initiates deep healing and opens the heart to divine joy!
Jaya Lakshmi began leading kirtan and writing her own devotional songs in the early 1990′s shortly after receiving harinam initiation from Srila Govinda Maharaj, a great Vaisnava saint from West Bengal, India. She went on to create 4 solo chant albums on Sequoia Records, and became the lead singer of the band Lost at Last. In 2010, she joined forces with Ananda Yogiji and their offerings have since blossomed. A mother and dedicated yogi, she has devoted much of her life to creating sacred music and healing others through the divine sound current.
Ananda is a gifted musician, song composer and mantra enthusiast. His musical offerings complement his Yogic practices with a deep devotional spirit. His music channels a unique blissful energy current supported by mantras with roots in Sanskrit and Gurbani. He sings, plays guitar, harmonium and bansuri flute with Jaya Lakshmi. Together, they have toured internationally offering musical "prayer-formances," yoga and mantra workshops as well as holding their own retreats.
Jaya Lakshmi and Ananda will be joined by the ‘Saraswati Dream Band’ which consists of maestro players Ankush Vimawala on tablas, Richard Cole on bass and Will Marsh on sitar and guitar.
