GRAND OPENING on Saturday, October 13 at 2000 Sir Francis Drake Blvd in downtown Fairfax. 415-855-1122. Wine and Hors d’oeuvres! Festivities begin at 2 pm. Roger McNamee will give a musical performance and all will receive a free poster for those who attend! John Seabury, Moonalice poster artist and talented musician, will also bring his guitar to entertain.
The studio is filled with her eye-popping rock posters, created with a contemporary flair after the revolutionary style of the 1960s psychedelic era. You’ll also see some original art work, and a registration table to book a fall art class or two.
A Fairfax resident most of her adult life. She has created well over 100 posters, many for the local band Moonalice and Roger McNamee. She has also created poster art for Widespread Panic, Santana, the Fillmore and the Warfield. She welcomes bands, event coordinators, and/or other unique businesses to contact her with interesting design projects.
Art teachers Melusina Gomez, MFA and Quinne Fokes, MFA will run classes in mask making, drawing, painting fundamentals, and mixed media, serving ages 6 to adult/senior. Fall courses are 8 weeks. An ongoing live nude model night is on Tuesday. Register for classes now and get an early bird special.
